

Maps below show the sanctuary as it exists today and as it will appear after the first phase of development is complete (2011). Through a public stakeholder process and expert design, we developed the Headwaters Sanctuary Master Plan, which includes a three-phase trail network, the first mile of which can be seen below. (Mouse over the aerial map below to see Phase I map.) Trail construction will proceed as resources are found. We welcome your help—volunteers and donations are greatly appreciated!
The sanctuary currently has limited trails, but visitors are welcome to experience the ¼-mile Hackberry Loop Trail. Visitors may park in spaces designated for Headwaters Sanctuary in the university lot shown on the map. Address: 847 E. Hildebrand (on the corner of Hildebrand and Hwy 281).
