The Headwaters Coalition seeks to create a harmonious relationship with the earth, the larger whole of which we are a part. We are dedicated to preserving God’s creation, and we realize that this will require the enthusiastic commitment of all our fellow humans. For most of us, such a commitment is only possible when our intellect, heart, and spirit are engaged.
As a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, our work is guided by the principles of community, collaboration, inclusivity, and peace.
Initiatives
Our four main initiatives are:
- Create a nature sanctuary used for education and spiritual reflection
- Restore and maintain the health of the land
- Facilitate sanctuary-based programs that promote an ecological ethic
- Reach beyond our boundaries as a catalyst for environmental responsibility
