The Headwaters Coalition is a non-profit, sponsored ministry of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, dedicated to spreading an ecological ethic.

The Coalition is protecting one of the last undeveloped forests in San Antonio, 53 acres adjoining the University of the Incarnate Word. Olmos Creek flows through this new nature sanctuary. Also within the forest lies the San Antonio Spring, also known as the Blue Hole.

The Blue Hole and Olmos Creek create the San Antonio River; they are the headwaters from which the Coalition takes its name.
